The other day Nick and I were joking about our age difference in the context of learning skills.

For example, my 12-year old daughter Sophie  currently has something like 15,000 subscribers on TikTok.

So Nick joked: 

“If I wanted to learn TikTok, I'm not going to you Tom. I'm going to your daughter.”

And the same is true of a lot of things. For example, if you're looking to learn how to build a fully remote business, yes you can go to the “old school” guys and learn a lot.

But you may find that you learn a bit more from someone like Nick—who though he's decades younger, built his agency remotely before it was cool.
