Issue #242 | April 28th 2024

Welcome to Shark Bites!

That picture above is of my little OU Sooner dog. I for one am getting very excited for this summer when College Football games start again.

And as always, I’m working hard now so that I can spend a ton of time off when that comes around to enjoy it.

That’s the beauty of a business.

You can “bank” hard work that you do now and it will pay off for months and years to come.

To help you do just that, let’s dive into this round of Shark Bites

Catch
catch of the week 3
  • Up first, Remote Millionaire, Bruce Mayo, added a travel agent client worth a cool $3,149… great work Bruce, keep them coming!
  • Next, Remote Millionaire, Joanne Westwood, lands an $800 referral client and she says more work is likely to come from that client down the line. Always taking the patient approach which is key to the Remote Millionaire way.
  • Last but not least, Remote Millionaire, Robert Nahas, let us know about a HUGE $10,000 client… wowza, great work there Robert!

A small but mighty week of wins totalling nearly $15k in revenue. Great job and thanks for writing in everyone!

If you’d like to write in your wins and be featured, you can do so inside of the Remote Marketing Agency Owners Private Facebook Group. Remember to use “#win” so we can feature you in next week’s “Catch of the Week”.

Welcome to “Pirate’s Booty” – a curated stash of local marketing news and content for your reading pleasure.

Earlier this week, the great, Dorn “Megalo-Dorn” Brenton posted this article into our Facebook Group. It’s timely because it’s about SEO.

And it may give you another insight into what Google wants when it comes to ranking sites.

Check it out here:

Google Confirms Links Are Not That Important

You know we love AI as a tool. But that said, AI isn’t perfect. And there still has to be a human element at play.

That’s why I wanted to share this article where Google is stressing the importance of fact-checking AI-generated content.

Well worth reading and you can do so here:

On this week’s Aloha Friday Local Marketing Jam Session we went live for:

Nick Ponte Defends His Belt Against An SEO Heavyweight In A Local Marketing Cage Match For The Ages

This was a very special Live Show where Nick Ponte and Paul James sat down to chat about all things SEO.

These guys are 2 of the leading SEO experts on the planet.

And together, they’ve brought in tens of millions of dollars for themselves and their clients through their ability to rank sites.

That’s why this was a masterclass in SEO.

And quite frankly, this is one of the ones I feel like we could charge for.

But right now the replay is still available to watch for free which you can do right here:

Attended the School of Hard Knocks. A former restaurant manager in Oklahoma, Tom always wanted to be self-employed and free from the butt-smooching of the corporate world. He wanted success bad enough that he picked up his family, including two small children and moved to beautiful Maui, Hawaii. Starting from zero, Tom embarked on building a local marketing consulting business. And promptly fell on his face! It seems Hawaiians were lovely people, until you tried to sell them something! But he persevered and learned from his mistakes. Today he's arguably one of the most successful in his niche and expecting to grow over 100% this year alone.
