The picture above was from Moulin Rouge, a broadway show Nick recently saw.
After the show he posted on Facebook:
“I had no idea what to expect walking into Moulin Rouge tonight, I had never been to a broadway show before. The whole production was incredible. I’ve Never seen anything quite like that before. Humans are awesome.”
Right you are Nick.
And to help you become even more awesome today, my Sharky Friend… let's dive into this edition of Shark Bites…
Welcome to Catch of the Week. Where we show you some of the greatest wins from Sharks across these Offline Seas. If you'd like to be “nominated” for Catch of the Week, be sure to post in the Offline Sharks Private Facebook Group using #win. And you may be featured too. Now on to the good stuff…
Our first “catch” comes from Marvin Drobes who had a surprise client swim into his nets. Lots of lessons there. First that he got a referral (which are some of the easiest clients ever). And second the referral came from him having an amazing offer.
So keep that in mind as you go fishing out there…
Below we have two small but mighty wins.
First is from John C. Marx who had one person unsubscribe from his emails… and another person hire him! Just goes to show, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. And though it's not a ton, $159 a month ain't nothing to laugh at. In fact, a $159 a month client is an ideal candidate for an easy upsell.
Plus we have a win from Dennis Matthijs who landed a juicy SEO deal with a realtor. The recurring that comes from SEO is one of the reasons Nick loves this service so much. Great job guys!
And lastly… a mini-win, MEGA motivation post.
This came from Oliver Leca who used our wily methods to hook in not just a client… but a client who said she would tell her friends!
Again, that is the power of having the right offer. Are you seeing a repeating theme here?
Ok, that's all for Catch of the Week. Remember to head to the Offline Sharks Private Facebook Group and post YOUR wins. And you may be featured to.
Up next…
The Business
Road Less Taken
In case you missed it, last week we held a presentation of our unique Virtual Fortune Roadmap. This training is a bit different than others we've done in the past.
And that's because this lays out the strategy that is at the core of everything else we do in our agency.
To use my loved college football as the example, this is like what the coaches talk about before the game. This is the principles, frameworks, and even rules that they use to guide every decision come kickoff.
Whereas our other trainings are more like training the players. They teach you how to kick and throw and tackle.
Obviously both are important. But if you want to get paid the big bucks and build a true legacy, not just create an income for yourself, then you want to know what the coaches talk about. And what's always on their minds.
That's what this training is about.
To check it out, head here:
In this section, we'll be sharing links, resources, articles, and more that you can't afford to miss!
Such as this gem of an article all about making your website compliant for ADA laws. We actually sold a training on this topic a while back. And as this article below says, making a site ADA compliant isn't just the law. It's just good business practice too. Check it out here: Website Accessibility & the Law: Why Your Website Must Be Compliant
But that's not all. Because there's also a big kerfuffle over at Facebook right now as they take down thousands of ads relating to “sensitive” topics. No matter what you think politically, this is something worth paying attention to from a business perspective. So catch it here: Facebook Announces the Removal of Thousands of Ad Targeting Categories Relating to Sensitive Topics
The "Nick Ponte Cut"
Today's video from Nick is the stuff we often save for members of our monthly mentorship and mastermind group, Shark Alliance Plus. And that's because this is a “from-the-trenches” sales call where you can see Nick land a $1,500 a month client LIVE!
In the video he's selling PPC.
But it doesn't matter what you sell. Because the principles are all the same. Plus, Nick gives your “director chair commentary”. So you know what to do… and also why to do it.
This is nearly 40 minutes of pure content. And was a labor of love for Nick.

John Donges Reveals How To
Make Your FIRST 40 Million
What do all these people have in common:
*The guy who went to bed hungry because his family couldn't afford groceries…
*The Executive Director of one of the largest non-profit online universities…
*And the entrepreneur exited one of his first companies with an 8-figure payday…
The answer? It's that ALL these people are my guest on this week's episode of “What's The Secret?
That's right! My guest is John Donges (who is a guy many of you may know from our buddies at Strategic Marketer).
And on this episode, he shares many of his little-known tips and tricks to scaling a business wildly fast.
The Great Resignation of 2021:
Living Remote In A Post-Covid World
No matter your thoughts on Covid, one thing can't be denied: It brought changes to every part of our life.
And one of the biggest changes we'll feel for decades to come is the growing wave of workers coming online… and working remote. Which is exactly the topic on this week's Aloha Friday Local Marketing Jam Session.
On it, we chatted all things remote work.
From the things Nick learned while working 5,000 miles away from his home base. To fundamental business decisions you must make if you want to go online. This was a doozy!
And one of my favorite shows we've done in a while. So be sure to catch it right here:
Thanks for playing this round at Shark Bites. I hope you enjoyed it. And if you did, feel free to share it on social media or with a friend.
Before I go, a quick thought I had the other day as a parent. It happened when Nick and I were talking about kids. And Nick said something about him not being a good parent because he wouldn't want to buy them a car.
The other people on the call (who don't have kids anywhere near old enough to drive yet) said that would make him a good parent.
But as someone with a daughter who's about ready to get her license… I had a different though. Mine wasn't about whether or not to buy her a car. Because at this point, my main concern is just her driving a car that is safe.
Which is why I joked to her that I would getting her a tank. You best believe she rolled her eyes at that one!
Ahh the joy of being a parent.
Truth be told, I couldn't imagine going back to parenting when I was working a full-time job. I know people who do that and I respect them for their hustle.
But I also want you to know there's a way that doesn't require so much hustle.
Yes it requires work. But if you follow the roadmap… the work becomes as easy and natural as walking along a path. Anyway, for more on this topic, enter the Poseidon's magic portal below:
