Issue #202 | July 23rd, 2023

Aloha Shark!

And welcome back to issue 202 of Shark Bites.

This heat does not seem to be slowing down (at least in the Northern Hemisphere, if you’re one of our Southern Hemisphere friends, enjoy the cold while you have it)…

But that’s ok, because it’s a good reason to stay inside in the air conditioning and get work done.

On a completely unrelated topic, it’s SHARK WEEK.

Which means this week we will be doing a series of emails all about the most important principles of what it really means to be a Shark.

Plus, to celebrate, we’re doing a giveaway contest.

You can learn more about that at the bottom of this page.

But in the meantime, let’s dive into this round of Shark Bites

[Note: Catch of the Week is where we share some of the greatest weekly wins from Sharks that write in. If you'd like to be “nominated” for Catch of the Week, be sure to post in the Remote Agency Owners Facebook Group using #win. And you may be featured too. Now on to the good stuff…

This time on “Catch of the Week…”

  • Up first, Donna Norris upgraded her newest SEO client to a nice $1,000 per month. Plus, she said it’s going to be easy work… Nice one Donna!
  • Next, Remote Millionaire, Tim Palmer landed a $1,000 website client… and a $1,000 per month SEO client. Woohoo!
  • And then Devindra Samaroo let us know about a $500 website redesign +$100 per month maintenance for an already-paying client. Great job Devindra and Nick, you two are killing it!

Another great week is in the bag.

Thanks to everyone who wrote in with a win.

If you’d like to write in your wins and be featured, you can do so inside of the Remote Marketing Agency Owners Private Facebook Group. Remember to use “#win” so we can feature you in next week’s “Catch of the Week”.

On this week’s Aloha Friday Local Marketing Jam Session, we sat down to chat all about…

How To EXPLODE Your Hourly Rate Through Outsourcing And Automation

Really, this is what an agency is all about.

Because when you work for yourself, you are in total control over how much you work and how much you make.

Which is where outsourcing and automation comes in.

Because by using outsourcing and automation, you can work less… and make more. Meaning your hourly rate will jump up nicely.

Attended the School of Hard Knocks. A former restaurant manager in Oklahoma, Tom always wanted to be self-employed and free from the butt-smooching of the corporate world. He wanted success bad enough that he picked up his family, including two small children and moved to beautiful Maui, Hawaii. Starting from zero, Tom embarked on building a local marketing consulting business. And promptly fell on his face! It seems Hawaiians were lovely people, until you tried to sell them something! But he persevered and learned from his mistakes. Today he's arguably one of the most successful in his niche and expecting to grow over 100% this year alone.
