Issue #232 | February 18th 2024
Welcome to Shark Bites!
We’re more than halfway through February and this year is going by FAST.
I mean, I for one had tons of plans and goals for this year.
And due to getting sick and some other unfortunate events… I know I’m behind on these goals.
But that’s ok.
Because what can you do? All you can do is go to work TODAY.
And tomorrow… and the day after that.
There ain’t no going backwards after all.
And to help you keep moving and making progress, let’s dive into this round of Shark Bites…
- Kicking things off, Lynnette Wells landed a brand new client. And this was a biggie. Website overhaul, social media, and more! Resulting in $6,424… plus $1,424 monthly recurring on the backend. Great job Lynnette!
- Next, Shark Alliance Member, Donna Norris, landed a client with a very interesting offer. Worth reading what she said because there may be an idea there for you.
- Last but not least, Shark Alliance Member, Sandy Alexander, lands his first Canadian client for a website edit + GBP update. Nice work Sandy and keep them coming!

If you’re confused about how SEO works… and you’d like to crack the nut of this confusing beast… then great news. Because Google just launched a “How Search Works” series that is supposed to demystify SEO.
Now personally I haven’t gone through the series. But since it’s coming straight from Google, my guess is that it is a great course for beginners to get up to speed.
If you want to learn more about the series, you can do so here:

Remember a while back I shared an article about WordPress’s annual survey? And I told you you could tell them how you feel about the service?
Well people spoke out… and the results ain’t pretty.
Because many WordPress users indicated frustration with the site editor and lagging performance. If this interests you at all, this article talks more about it:
On this week’s Aloha Friday Local Marketing Jam Session we went live for:
Social Media Specialist Reveals How To Connect Authentically Online
The social media specialist in question was none other than Remote Millionaire, Joanne Westwood.
And she sat down with Nicholas Loise to chat all about connecting with your ideal customers online.
Plus, she talked about some of the most important things she learned in local marketing.
The replay is up now and you can catch it right here:
That’s all for this round of Shark Bites.
Also, as a little carrot to thank you for reading to the bottom…
You may know that we’re putting the bows on our newest course. I won’t spill the beans on exactly what this course is about yet…
But I will say that it’s a cool way to profit off of getting more traffic to a site.
And if you know anything about marketing… you know that traffic is a HUGE key to success.
So we’re very excited to release this to you soon.
More on that shortly…
Mahalo,
Tom Gaddis
