Stop Using the Lack of Time as an Excuse NOT to Start a New Business

Lack of Time Excuse

When you want something bad enough, you make the time to work on your plan. It's that simple.

Regardless of your other commitments and obligations, if you really want to make your new business work, you'll do everything in your power to succeed.

So many new entrepreneurs fail to make their businesses work, for many reasons. Some don't have the patience to grow a business, others simply lack the spirit of entrepreneurship. But then there are those who use the lack of time as an excuse to justify a failure.

Time may be a limited resource, but that's not a good enough reason to quit being a Shark!

Excuse not to Start a Business

There's ALWAYS time to work on your passion

If we constantly worry about timing things correctly, progress wouldn't happen.

Let's be real guys, there is always enough time if you spend it right. And don't think I'm telling you to quit your jobs! Keep the 9 to 5 and start your project on the side, like the rest of us!

However, instead of binge watching your favorite TV series or playing World of Warcraft after work, make the time to work on your idea! If you crash out today and go to bed at 11, make it your goal to go to bed at midnight tomorrow.

It's true, staying up late and pulling all nighters might not be the best way to be productive. But dedicating a few extra hours a week in the beginning will help you to get something going in the long run.

Once you do this, you'll quickly figure out whether your excitement is real passion, or if it's just the next flavor of the week.

If things don't work out, that's OK. Just keep working like you've been doing all along. No risk or loss other than a little sleep. But if things DO turn out to work in your favor, you definitely won't be sorry for making an effort to find the time to work on your venture!

A day only has 24 hours. Use them right!

The truth is, most people just don't want it bad enough. Then they protect their ego by using the “lack of time” as an excuse.

Don't let yourself off the hook so easily because, truth be told, it's entirely your responsibility to make your dreams come true.

There may be only 24 hours in a day, but it's up to you to use them wisely and not waste your time doing something that's not productive for your business.

Besides, keep in mind the perfect time never arrives. You're always going to be too young, too old or too busy or too poor to invest in your idea.

My advice to you is to take advantage of the time you have NOW! Want to know why? For the past 2 weeks alone, I've managed to build new websites, answered at least a couple thousand emails, found the time to get new clients and continued work on my projects.

I'm sure I can add to this list, but my point is there have been many long days and sleepless nights. But hell, half of the time, I'm literally accomplishing my dreams while the rest of the world is sleeping!

Time management is a skill you need to develop on your own, but it's also the key to success.

I encourage you to test your limits and see how much you can accomplish if you just start using your time right.
